Bears end fall season in individual championships in Waco
WACO, Texas – Baylor women's tennis head coach Joey Scrivano announced the 2024 fall schedule on Thursday morning. For the first time, the fall tournament slate will end in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship, held split from the spring team championship for its pilot year at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco.
The Bears host a nine-team draw at the Hurd Tennis Center to open the season in the annual H-E-B Invitational on September 20-22. Admission to the tournament is free to fans and live stats and video will be available at BaylorBears.com.
Split with those who qualify, a select group of student-athletes will travel to Cary, N.C., for the ITA All-American Championships in a nine-day bout from Sept. 21-29.
In the first of two tournaments in Fort Worth, the Bears compete at the ITA Texas Regional Championships at TCU from October 10-14, followed by the TCU Invitational from Oct. 31-November 3.
In a busy November, the Bears split again to the ITA Masters and Sectional Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich., and the Rice Invitational in Houston the weekend of Nov. 7-10.
Closing out the fall calendar, Baylor hosts the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship at the Hurd Tennis Center from Nov. 19-24. Bears can qualify through the ITA All-American Championships (10 singles, four doubles), ITA Regional Championships (26 singles, 13 doubles), ITA Conference Masters Championship (four singles, three doubles) and ITA Sectional Championships (24 singles, 12 doubles).
Tickets for the NCAA Individual Championships will be sold through the Baylor Athletics ticket office at a later date and more information will be available at BaylorBears.com as qualifiers are decided.
