
No. 10 Soccer Falls to No. 14 TCU 3-0

FORT WORTH, Texas – No. 10 Baylor soccer (10-2-2, 5-2 Big 12) was unable to muster up a comeback against No. 14 TCU (11-2-1, 5-1-1 Big 12), falling 3-0 on Thursday night at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. The loss is only the Bears' second of the season, and the first coming on the road.
The two squads had back-and-forth possession early, until TCU scored its first goal in the 23rd minute, when Seven Castain chipped one in over Azul Alvarez. Castain added her second goal just four minutes later, extending the Horned Frogs' lead to 2-0 going into the half.
After halftime, Olivia Hess recorded Baylor's lone shot on goal in the 49th minute but was unable to convert. About five minutes later, TCU's Cate Sarinopoulos added the Horned Frogs' third and final goal in the 54th minute.
Baylor goalkeeper Alvarez recorded a season-high 10 saves, besting previous highs of six against Texas Tech and five last week against BYU.
