13 home matches highlight 2026 spring slate
WACO, Texas – Baylor women's tennis head coach Joey Scrivano announced the 2026 spring dual-match schedule on Wednesday afternoon. The 24-match slate features 13 home contests at the Hawkins Indoor and Hurd Tennis Centers after a 2025 campaign that ended with a No. 24 ITA ranking, the program's 18th top-25 finish under Scrivano.
The Bears open the season Jan. 9-11 at the Lady Vols Invite, a Knoxville-based hidden dual tournament with Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Arizona State all in attendance. Dual-match play begins Jan. 17 with a home matchup against Illinois, followed by Tulane on Jan. 18.
Baylor heads to Austin to close out January at ITA Kickoff Weekend, meeting Cal on Jan. 24 before facing either Arizona or host Texas the next day. The regional winner advances to the ITA Indoor Team Championships, hosted by Northwestern and Illinois on Feb. 6-10.
February begins with home dates against Rice on Feb. 6 and Washington on Feb. 8. The Bears then travel northeast for matches against Brown and Harvard on Feb. 13 and Feb. 15, both coming in Cambridge, Mass.
A season-long four-match homestand follows, starting with a Feb. 21 doubleheader against UTRGV before Big 12 play opens with Arizona on Feb. 27 and Arizona State on March 1.
Baylor continues league action on the road at Cincinnati on March 6 and West Virginia on March 8 while returning to Waco to host Iowa State on March 13 and Kansas on March 15. A three-match road swing comes next at Kansas State on March 20, Oklahoma State on March 22 and TCU on March 28.
San Diego visits Waco for one final non-conference match on March 31. BYU on April 2 and Utah on April 4 round out the home portion of the regular-season schedule.
The Bears then head west for their last road trip of the regular season at Colorado on April 9 and Texas Tech on April 11.
Postseason play begins April 15 with the Big 12 Tournament in Orlando, Fla., which concludes April 18. NCAA First and Second Rounds and Super Regionals follow, leading to the finals in Athens, Ga., on May 14-17.
