Softball Invited to the 2027 Sarasota College Softball Classic

BU is one of six teams taking part in the inaugural event
WACO, Texas –Baylor softball will head to sunny Southwest Florida in February of 2027 as it takes part in the debut edition of the Sarasota College Softball Classic, announced Thursday by Peak Events, LLC.
The Bears will join Alabama, Florida State, James Madison, Ohio State and Texas State in the event played Feb. 11-14 at the new 17th Street Park Regional Sports Complex in Sarasota County.
The Bears hold a 52-29 combined advantage against the five teams (1-4 vs. Alabama; 5-3 vs. Florida State; 2-0 vs. James Madison; 1-2 vs. Ohio State and 43-20 vs. Texas State). The Crimson Tide and the Seminoles are coming off super regional appearances in 2025, while the Buckeyes reached the regional final of the NCAA Knoxville Regional.
The four-day event features 15 games, with the full schedule, ticket info and broadcast outlet(s) to follow.
