WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian Western senior Alexis Rutledge has been named Big 12 Horsemanship Co-Rider of the Month for March, as announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon.
Rutledge picked up honors in Horsemanship after an undefeated month, earning an MOP for her win vs. TCU. The Altoona, Iowa senior averaged a score of 71.75, highlighted by wins against two top-five opponents. Rutledge's win over No. 2 TCU helped the Bears win the event, 3-2, and eventually the meet, 11-9. She also won vs. OSU in the Big 12 semifinals, winning 75-0. Rutledge had the highest score in the event against TCU and OSU, earning a 75 in both meets.
This rounds out a decorated season for Rutledge as she was recently named the Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Year and to the All-Big 12 team.
Baylor finished its season with a 5-7 record overall and a 2-4 conference record.
