
SB Adds Transfer Peyton Tanner

WACO, Texas – Baylor softball head coach Glenn Moore has added Peyton Tanner to the 2026 roster, announced Saturday.
Tanner transfers from Tennessee to join the Bears with three years of eligibility. The sophomore pitcher spent her first season with the Lady Vols.
Originally from Lake Jackson, Texas, Tanner appeared in nine games, making two starts in the circle for the Lady Vols. She helped the 2025 squad make it back to the Women's College World Series after defeating Nebraska in Super Regionals.
During her freshman campaign, she picked up three wins with 25 innings pitched and 16 strikeouts. Tanner tossed a perfect game against Delaware State with a career-high six strikeouts in five innings pitched. She tossed innings against some of the Nation's top teams, including Arkansas, Texas, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.
A graduate of Brazoswood High School in 2024, Tanner had a 65-12 record through three seasons with 820 strikeouts against Texas 6A team, notching 12 no-hitters and 19 one-hitters. She picked up numerous accolades including being selected as a 2024 PGF All-American, tabbed to the 2023 Extra Inning 18U All-Summer team and voted to the Texas Sportswriters 6A All-State team. Tanner played travel ball for Hotshots Nelson and was ranked No. 4 in the 2024 Extra Elite 100 National Player Rankings.
