Bears lead Big 12 Conference with tie for program high
WACO, Texas – Baylor women's tennis was ranked with the No. 11 spring recruiting class in the nation, as announced by Tennis Recruiting Network on Monday morning.
"This ranking reflects the great work our coaches and players continue to do," said head coach Joey Scrivano. "Baylor has a long tradition of excellence, and we're proud to build on that legacy. For us, recruiting is never just about talent, it's about finding people with character and a team-first mindset. We've built a special culture where character, development and team always come first."
The class, which includes Mu-Jie Tzeng and Luna Ivkovic, matches 2007 as the highest ranking in program history from TennisRecruiting.net and leads the Big 12 Conference. The Lone Star State continues to be a powerhouse in tennis recruiting, with five schools in the rankings; Baylor ranks third among them, behind Texas and Texas A&M.
The Tennis Recruiting Network releases recruiting class rankings each year, compiled by reporters, tournament directors, referees, ranking chairpersons and writers across the country who vote on the top incoming classes. Incoming transfers and freshmen competing in the spring are not considered in the rankings.
