Bears to make first appearance at Dell Diamond since 2021
ROUND ROCK, Texas – Baylor baseball is set to take part in the 2026 Round Rock Classic, as announced Tuesday by Peak Events.
The Bears will join Oregon State, Purdue and Southern Miss as part of the four-team field for the Feb. 20-22 weekend tournament. BU will be making its second appearance at the Dell Diamond-hosted event and first since the second annual edition in 2021.
In 2021, the Bears went 1-2 at the Round Rock Classic, picking up a win over No. 17 Auburn but dropping contests to Texas A&M and No. 25 Oklahoma. Prior to that tournament, Baylor had played just one previous game at Dell Diamond, a 5-1 win over Texas State in 2012.
This will mark the second-consecutive year that BU faces Oregon State in a non-conference weekend tournament, having battled the then No. 8 Beavers to a 4-3 loss at Globe Life Field a year ago. Baylor is 1-1 all-time against OSU, with its previous win coming at the 2005 College World Series.
BU is 3-0 all-time against Purdue, having swept a weekend series over the Boilermakers in Waco in 2008, with each game being decided by just one run. The Bears are 3-1 against Southern Miss in the all-time series, though the two sides have not met since 2003, when BU eliminated the host Golden Eagles from the Hattiesburg Regional.
Tickets can be purchased on a per-day basis or as a weekend package in select seating sections. Both reserved and general admission options are now available at www.peak.events.
All games are set to be broadcast exclusively via D1Baseball.com.
