
EQ’s Lauren Stebbins Named Finalist for NCEA YETI Workhorse Award

WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian's Jumping Seat fifth-year senior Lauren Stebbins has been named a finalist for the National Collegiate Equestrian Association's (NCEA) YETI Workhorse Award, the association announced on Monday afternoon.
The award honors the teammate who fully embodies the mission and heart of their respective team. The athlete supports her teammates, fosters a positive environment and has a noticeable impact on the team. Stebbins was selected as a finalist as Baylor's Workhorse Award nominee.
The Atlanta, Ga., native finished her career with an 8-5 record in the Flat event, boasting a 6-4 record in the 2024-25 season and a 2-1 record in the 2025-26 season. She earned her career-best high score of 88 against No. 5 Oklahoma State in the 2025 Big 12 Equestrian Championship semifinals. The fifth-year senior garnered her first career Most Outstanding Performer honor this past season, against No. 6 Fresno State, winning her point 82.50-82.
Stebbins currently serves as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) president, helping to create an environment in which each member can gain valuable leadership experience. She has also won the squad's "Sic 'Em Award" the past three years in a row. The "Sic 'Em Award" is given by the Baylor equestrian coaches to the student-athlete who shows endless dedication to Baylor and Baylor equestrian.
The winner for the NCEA YETI Workhorse Award will be announced on Wednesday night at the NCEA National Championship.
