BU adds a second all-conference performer from the transfer portal
WACO, Texas — Baylor softball head coach Glenn Moore announced the signing of transfer infielder Kenzie Farrier-Pilon on Tuesday.
Farrier-Pilon joins the Bears after one season at California Baptist and will continue a family legacy in Waco as the younger sister of former Baylor infielder Presleigh Pilon. Head coach Glenn Moore looks forward to adding her to an already-talented roster.
"Kenzie is an exceptional young player who has already proven herself at the Division I level," he said. "She brings a tremendous combination of athleticism, competitiveness and offensive production, and we believe her best softball is still ahead of her. Presleigh left a lasting impact on our program, and it's a testament to their family and Baylor that Kenzie wants to continue that legacy in green and gold."
The 2026 WAC Freshman of the Year, Farrier-Pilon, also garnered First Team All-WAC honors after putting together one of the most impressive rookie campaigns in the nation. A staple at the top of CBU's lineup, she started all 62 games and hit .403 while collecting 79 hits, 22 doubles and 23 RBIs. Her 22 doubles led the WAC and ranked fifth nationally, while her 79 hits also tied for the conference lead. Farrier-Pilon also showcased exceptional plate discipline, striking out just seven times in 200 at-bats throughout the season.
She joins a Baylor program coming off its third NCAA postseason appearance in the last four seasons and will reunite with a familiar program after watching her sister, Presleigh, spend three seasons in green and gold. Presleigh appeared in 171 games for the Bears from 2023-25 and helped Baylor to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances during her career, and established the mark for double plays in a season (31), which BU tied this season.
The Murrieta, Calif., native joins the Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year, Mattison Buster, who signed with the Bears earlier this month after a stellar season at Northwestern State.
