Baylor Announces 2026 Football Game Themes

WACO, Texas – From fan-selected uniforms and community celebrations to returning traditions and enhanced game day experiences, Baylor Athletics announced its 2026 football game themes, with each game featuring a unique identity that celebrates Baylor traditions and enhances the Fan First experience throughout the fall.
The 2026 schedule features 254 Night, Gold Rush, Traditions Game, Blackout on the Brazos/Whiteout, Homecoming and Salute to Service, creating six distinct game day experiences for Baylor fans throughout the season.
SEPT. 12 vs. PRAIRIE VIEW A&M presented by Central National Bank
254 Night | Community Game
Baylor will celebrate the Waco community and the 254 area code while welcoming local organizations, schools and community partners to McLane Stadium. Fans will have the opportunity to help select Baylor's game uniform combination through the Fan First Pic 'Em, with additional details to be announced later this summer.
SEPT. 19 vs. LOUISIANA TECH presented by McDonald's
Family Weekend | Gold Rush | Childhood Cancer Awareness Game | Vamos Osos
Family Weekend gets a golden touch as Baylor celebrates Gold Rush. Fans are encouraged to wear gold as Baylor brings back the nostalgic Gold Rush identity and merchandise. The game will also feature Childhood Cancer Awareness initiatives, highlighted by a partnership between presenting sponsor McLane Children's and the McLane Children's Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Program, along with Vamos Osos celebrations recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month.
SEPT. 26 vs. COLORADO presented by TFNB, Your Bank For Life
Traditions Game
As Colorado makes its first trip to Waco since 2007, Baylor will celebrate the rich traditions, history and people who have shaped Baylor Football through the years. The first 5,000 fans will receive a limited-edition Bruiser bobblehead. Additional Traditions Game celebrations, recognitions and fan experiences will be announced at a later date.
OCT. 17 vs. TCU presented by H-E-B
Blackout on the Brazos / Whiteout
The most-played rivalry in Texas takes center stage as Baylor and TCU meet for the 122nd time in the Revivalry. Fan attire will be determined by kickoff time, with a Blackout on the Brazos planned for an evening kickoff and a Whiteout planned for a daytime kickoff. Additional game presentation details will be announced closer to game day.

Homecoming
Baylor welcomes alumni and friends back to campus for Homecoming weekend. From Pigskin Revue and the Homecoming Bonfire to the nation's oldest collegiate homecoming parade, Baylor's longstanding traditions will once again welcome generations of Bears back to Waco.
NOV. 21 vs. TEXAS TECH
Salute to Service | Senior Day | Celebrating America
The Bears will honor active-duty military personnel, veterans and first responders while also recognizing the senior members of the football program prior to their final game at McLane Stadium. Special recognitions and tributes will be featured throughout the day in celebration of 250 years of American independence.
2026 FAN BUTTON DESIGN CONTEST:
In conjunction with this year's game themes, Baylor will once again invite fans to participate in the 2026 Fan Button Design Contest for select home games.
Fans can create a button design that fits a 2.25-inch diameter circle and submit their artwork for consideration by emailing it to Fan_Experience@Baylor.edu. In the email, fans should indicate which game theme their design represents. A template is available here for download.
The deadline to submit designs is Friday, July 10, at 11:59 p.m. CT.
