The Hall of Fame inductees and Wall of Honor recipient also will be honored on the field at McLane Stadium during the Baylor-Texas Tech football game on Saturday, Nov. 21.
Organized in 1960, the Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame recognizes and honors individuals whose participation and contributions have enriched and strengthened the university's athletics program. Student-athletes are required to wait 10 years after completing their eligibility before they can be nominated for the Hall of Fame.
Beginning with the inaugural 1960 class that included coach Floyd Crow and baseball's Ted Lyons, 289 honorees have been elected or already enshrined in the Hall of Fame.
'VOICE OF THE BEARS' JOHN MORRIS
A December 1980 Baylor graduate, Morris started his broadcasting career with KWTX-TV in Waco before coming to Baylor full time in 1995, now the longest-tenured employee in the Baylor Athletics Department. Part of the Baylor Football broadcasts since 1987, he worked alongside Fallon as an analyst for eight years before assuming the play-by-play chair in 1995.
When Morris won the Chris Schenkel Award in 2024, Baylor became the first school in the nation with two Schenkel Award winners, with Fallon winning the award in 2001. Recognized as the Texas Co-Sportscaster of the Year in 2019, he has also hosted the Inside Baylor Sports television show, the Baylor Coach's Show and Sic 'Em podcasts, along with being behind the mic for men's basketball's 2021 national championship, baseball, softball, women's basketball, tennis, soccer, volleyball, equestrian, track and field and acrobatics & tumbling.
QUINCY ACY -- MEN'S BASKETBALL
Acy, part of two NCAA Elite Eight teams and the 2009 NIT runner-up, was the second player in program history to finish his Baylor career ranked in the top 10 in career scoring (1,360), rebounds (828), blocked shots (177) and field goal percentage (60.2), joining Hall of Famer Brian Skinner.
Named to the All-Big 12 Freshman Team in 2009, Acy averaged better than 12 points per game in each of his last two seasons, when he was named the Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year in 2011 and to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team as a senior in 2012. A second-round pick, he played seven seasons in the NBA and was most recently on the coaching staff of the Dallas Mavericks.
TRAYVON BROMELL -- TRACK & FIELD
A five-time Big 12 champion and four-time All-American in his two years at Baylor (2014-15) before turning pro, Bromell won the 100 meters at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Championship with a World Junior-record time of 9.97 and 200 meters at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championship with a school record 20.19.
Bromell added a pair of All-America honors at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Championship, finishing second in the 100 and third in the 200. As a pro, he won the 60-meter title at the World Indoor Championship, was the bronze medalist in the 100 at the 2015 and 2022 World Championships and represented USA at the 2016 and 2021 Olympics. He also leads the Diamond League standings after edging Olympic champion Noah Lyles on Sunday in the 100 meters at Paris.
ZANE CARLSON -- BASEBALL
Setting Baylor's single-season and career saves records with 15 as a freshman in 2000, Carlson was named the National Freshman of the Year and a third-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball and helped lead the Bears to their first baseball Big 12 championship. Capping that year, he was also named to the USA Baseball National Team.
Recovering from an injury, Carlson picked up another 11 saves and a second-team All-Big 12 selection in 2003. More than 20 years later, he still holds the record for most appearances (111) and strikeouts in relief (223) and tied for the most career saves with Troy Montemayor.
COREY COLEMAN -- FOOTBALL
A two-time All-American and the 2015 Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation's top collegiate receiver, Coleman had a monster season as a fourth-year junior with 74 catches for 1,363 yards and a school record and national-best 20 TD catches. The first receiver in program history with two 1,000-yard seasons, he had 64 receptions for 1,119 yards and 11 TDs as a sophomore, earning consensus All-Big 12 and honorable mention All-America honors.
After redshirting in 2012, Coleman was part of the best three-year stretch in school history with 32 wins and back-to-back Big 12 championships in 2013 and '14. The 16th pick overall in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns, he had an injury-plagued career before leading the USFL with 51 catches for 659 yards and four TDs for the Philadelphia Stars in 2023.
HAYLEY DAVIS -- WOMEN'S GOLF
Rewriting the Baylor women's golf record book, Davis set the career scoring average and still ranks fifth at 73.00 and holds the program records for career top-10 finishes (28) and top-five finishes (20). The program's first All-American, she earned second-team WGCA honors as a freshman and sophomore and first-team honors as a senior from Golfweekly.
As a senior, when she averaged a then-record 72.32 strokes per round, Davis won medalist honors at the NCAA San Antonio Regional and led the Bears to Big 12 and regional titles before falling to Stanford in the NCAA Tournament match-play final. Since turning pro in 2015, she has won four titles, the last coming at the 2023 Cape Town Ladies Open on the Sunshine Tour.
BILL MARTINESON -- TRACK & FIELD
A four-time All-American in 1946-47, Martineson is one of just two Baylor athletes to earn All-America honors in the two shortest sprints in the same year, joined by fellow Hall of Famer Trayvon Bromell nearly 70 years later. He placed third in the 100-yard dash and fifth in the 220 yards in 1946 and then third in the 100 and fifth in the 220 the next year.
In 1946, Martineson ran anchor leg on the Bears' 4x110-yard relay with J.D. Isacks, James McBilberry and Stoney Cotton that won the Southwest Conference championship and also the Texas and Kansas Relays. Additionally, he won the 100-yard dash at the 1946 Drake Relays and 1947 Texas Relays with a pair of sub-10.0-second times.
TIFFANI MCREYNOLDS -- TRACK & FIELD
McReynolds is the only Baylor athlete, male or female, to earn All-America honors in the same individual event at the NCAA indoors four times – finishing as the runner-up three times and fourth once in the 60-meter hurdles. As a senior in 2014, her then school-record time of 7.93 left her just .007 seconds behind Arkansas State's Sharika Nelvis in a photo finish.
She was also the first BU athlete and second Big 12 athlete to win the same event (60-meter hurdles) at the conference meet for four-consecutive seasons and is the school record-holder with seven individual conference titles. Turning pro after a redshirt senior season outdoors, McReynolds finished third in the 60-meter hurdles at the USA Indoors in 2015 and 2020.
DAVID SIBLEY -- MEN'S BASKETBALL (WALL OF HONOR)
Sibley is the 34th inductee to the "B" Association Wall of Honor, which recognizes Baylor letterwinners and graduates whose meritorious accomplishments in public or private life following graduation have brought positive public recognition, credit and honor to Baylor and the athletics department.
After winning a state championship at Houston Jones High School, Sibley was a three-year letterman on the Baylor basketball team, earning honorable mention honors and serving as a team captain for a 1970 squad that finished third in the Southwest Conference.
Initially an oral surgeon after graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Sibley returned to school to earn his law degree at Baylor while he served as the Waco mayor. An assistant DA in McLennan County, he was elected to the Texas State Senate in 1991 and became one of the most respected legislators in the state, serving four sessions as chairman of the powerful Senate Business and Commerce Committee.
Sibley returned to private law practice in 2002 and has remained a close ally of former President and Texas Governor George W. Bush, making several visits to his ranch in Crawford.
