Madaline Callaway Returns to EQ as Director of Operations, Assistant Coach

The former Bear was a part of the Reining squad from 2018-2023 and served as Team Captain from 2020-22
WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian head coach Casie Maxwell announced on Monday that former Bear and 2021 Second Team Reining All-American Madaline Callaway will serve as the program's Director of Operations/Assistant Coach, rounding out the Baylor staff ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The Loveland, Colo., native was a member of the Reining squad for the green and gold from 2018-2023 and is thrilled to be back at Baylor.
"Returning to Baylor in this role is incredibly meaningful. I'm grateful to Coach Maxwell for the opportunity to give back to the place that gave me so much," Callaway said. "I'm excited to pour into our student-athletes as they grow in their faith, excel in competition, and achieve academic success. It's an honor to be back and I look forward to helping this program achieve new heights."
Heading into her 10th season as head coach, Maxwell is excited to welcome Callaway back to Waco.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Madaline back to Waco, Baylor, and our program," Maxwell said. "As a student-athlete, she made an incredible impact, and she's only deepened her skill set since graduating. Her values, knowledge, faith, and leadership align great with our mission and will help us continue to develop our program. I'm excited to add her to our staff and look forward to supporting her growth in this role."
In her time as a Bear, Callaway earned numerous honors, including being named a NCEA Reining Second Team All-American and earning a spot on the NCEA All-Academic First Team three times. During her 2020-21 campaign, she also earned the Big 12 Championship Reining Most Outstanding Performer. Since 2017, Callaway also holds the program record for most career wins in Reining (32) and most career MOP's (9).
After her time at Baylor, Callaway served as an International Logistics Specialist for JBS USA for two years before becoming a Claims Specialist at State Farm.
