2010 (Junior): Played in 10 games, started once at defensive end, and missed three games due to injury as junior... Totaled nine tackles, one sack and one hurry... Earned second-team Academic All-Big 12 honors... Named to Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll in fall 2010... Had two solo tackles, including sack, in season-opening win over Sam Houston State... Made unassisted tackle and hurry in win over Buffalo in second game... Had two tackles at No. 4 TCU before injuring knee, missed next two games following surgery... Returned vs. Texas Tech in week six, had two solo stops... Started following game in win at Colorado, had two tackles... Played final five regular-season games without recording tackle... Sat out Texas Bowl due to foot injury.

2009 (Sophomore): Played all 12 games and started final eight at defensive end as sophomore in 2009 to earn second letter... Totaled 22 tackles (13 solo), one sack and one QB hurry on season... Named to Academic All-Big 12 second team and Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll in fall 2009 and spring 2010... Made then-career-high three tackles as reserve in win over Kent State in fourth game... Started at No. 19 Oklahoma in fifth game and had career-high four tackles, all solo, and career-first sack (-10 yards)... Had multiple tackles at Iowa State (three, sixth game), at Missouri (two, ninth game), vs. No. 2 Texas (three, 10th game) and vs. Texas Tech (two, 12th game).

2008 (Redshirt Freshman): Played all 12 games as redshirt freshman defensive end in 2008 to earn first letter... Started three of final five games... Earned 2008 first-team Academic All-Big 12 honors... Named to Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll for fall 2008... Totaled nine tackles, two breakups, one forced fumble and one hurry on season... Made first career tackle and first breakup in season opener vs. No. 23 Wake Forest... Registered assisted tackle and QB hurry in win over Northwestern State in second game... Made first career start at Nebraska in eighth game, made on solo stop... Had only multiple-tackle game at No. 5 Texas in 10th game, two solo tackles... Started each of season[apos]s last two games, win over Texas A&M and at No. 7 Texas Tech.

2007 (True Freshman):  Elected to take redshirt year as true freshman defensive end... Named to fall Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.

High School:  Cypress Creek High School, Houston, Texas... Houston Chronicle Area Top 60 selection... Second-team All-District 17-5A defensive tackle as senior... Totaled 55 tackles, 33 of which were solo stops, and five sacks... Also had 11 tackles for loss, punt block and one touchdown... Two-year starter along defensive line... Began prep career at quarterback before switching to defense... Outstanding baseball pitcher... Texas Football 2006 Texas Top 300 member... Coached by Greg McCaig at District 17-5A school.
