
ANIMALS
Policy: Service animals are welcome in Willis Equestrian. All other animals will not be allowed to enter.
Reason: A service animal is trained to perform tasks for an individual with a disability.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Policy: Public address announcements are restricted to emergency situations only.
Reason: Many in-stadium announcements are requested, but only emergency situations can be addressed through PA announcements in Willis Equestrian. To properly address these situations, Baylor Public Safety is responsible for determining the level of importance of any requested emergency announcement.
ARTIFICIAL NOISEMAKERS
Policy: Big 12 Conference rules do not permit artificial noisemakers to be brought into or used in Willis Equestrian.
Reason: The Big 12 implemented this rule in order to prevent the distraction of the participants and officials in the event.
BAGS & BACKPACKS
Policy: Must be clear plastic vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12”x 12”x 6” or a small clutch bag no larger than 4.5”x 6.5”x 3”. Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to: backpacks, briefcases, camera bags, cinch bags, computer bags, coolers, diaper bags, duffle bag, fanny packs, luggage, any other bag deemed to not meet the clear bag policy.
Reason: National and local security officials have designated backpacks and other bags as security risks. This policy is consistent with major sporting leagues nationwide. Unattended bags create a security threat. Bags may not be left at the gates and will be confiscated, removed and discarded immediately. Clear bag = effective and efficient screening.
BANNERS & POLES
Policy: Banners may not be hung and poles may not be brought into Willis Equestrian unless approved by Baylor Athletics.
Reason: Banners or poles in Willis Equestrian can be a nuisance to other fans by obstructing their view of the event, and can create safety concerns for those in the area.
CAMERAS, TRIPODS & MONOPODS:
Policy: Cameras with lenses 4” or smaller are permitted in Willis Equestrian. Tripods, monopods & selfie sticks are not allowed into Willis Equestrian.
Reason: Large lens cameras, tripods, monopods& selfie sticks interfere with the game and others’ enjoyment of the event.
DRONES:
Policy: Drones and other Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) may not be flown or operated from or over Baylor property.
Reason: Drones and UAS may cause a safety hazard and violate the temporary flight restriction that covers Willis Equestrian.
FACILITY ACCESS:
Policy: Access to the arena and the team areas shall be limited to participating student-athletes, coaches, officials, support personnel and properly credentialed individuals at all times.
Reason: For the safety of participants and spectators alike, at no time before, during or after an event shall spectators be permitted into the arena, horse stalls and paddocks.
PROHIBITED ITEMS & BEHAVIOR
In conjunction with the Big 12 Conference and for the safety of our guests & employees, the following are prohibited:

• Artificial noisemakers
• Bags not meeting clear bag policy
• Banners & Signs
• Camera Lenses larger than 4”
• Fireworks
• Outside Food & Beverage
• Portable chairbacks or cushions
• Tobacco
• Tripods or Monopods
• Umbrellas
• Video cameras
• Weapons or Firearms
• Other items as deemed inappropriate by Event Management
*Exceptions will be made for those with service animals
SMOKING & TOBACCO
Policy: Smoking (both traditional & non-traditional) and any form of tobacco will not be permitted at Willis Equestrian.

VIDEO CAMERAS
Policy: Video cameras are not permitted in Willis Equestrian.
Reason: Baylor Athletics is obligated to protect the television and digital rights granted by the Big 12 Conference to television networks and other media. By prohibiting video cameras except for use by credentialed working media, Baylor Athletics can best manage that obligation.
The Willis Family Equestrian Center, named for Baylor graduates Richard (1981 and 1982) and Karen (1985) Willis of Colleyville who provided the lead gift for the project, is located near the Baylor campus.
Phase I of the 45,000-square foot facility includes a covered riding arena with spectator seating, an outdoor Western arena with spectator seating, more than 20 covered stalls to house horses and also restroom facilities The center's first official show took place on Oct. 6 against New Mexico State. Former head coach Ellen White and the Bears rode to an 8-7 victory against the Aggies.
Plans for Phases II and III include a horse barn as well as a team barn. The team barn will house administrative offices, meeting rooms, locker rooms and training rooms. Construction on additional phases will begin when funds become available.

From the southwest, take Hwy. 6 to Bus. 77 exit. Bus 77 become LaSalle. Turn left on University Parks Drive. The arena is on the left side of the road.
