The Baylor University athletic department will host various
events this weekend, culminating with a men's basketball game at the Ferrell
Center Monday, that will be televised nationwide on ESPN2.
Bear fans can attend as many as six Baylor sporting events on campus between
Friday and Monday, including baseball, men's basketball and women's
basketball games. Fans can also participate in the commemoration of the
Baylor Ballpark, attend the inaugural Golden Bear awards presentation and
enjoy the festivities surrounding Big Monday on ESPN2 presented by AT&T
Wireless.
The Bears' men's basketball squad will face the Nebraska Cornhuskers
Saturday at 5 p.m. in front of a regional television audience on FOX Sports
Southwest. On Monday evening, Baylor hosts No. 5 Kansas at 8 p.m. as part of
ESPN's Big Monday package. Monday's activities planned for fans include the
Kick Back at the Outback Tent, distribution to those attending the game of
gold T-shirts, compliments of AT&T Wireless and growl towels provided by Big
Red & Pizza Hut, and the presentation of the first-ever Golden Bear athletic
awards.
Baylor's women's basketball team will host Texas A&M Saturday at 8 p.m. in
the second game of a double-header at the Ferrell Center. The game is the
Lady's Bears' Family Night, with players' families in attendance.
The defending Big 12 champion Baylor baseball team hosts Cal State Fullerton
in a three-game series Friday (7 p.m.), Saturday (1 p.m.) and Sunday (1
p.m.). Fans can also take part in the stadium dedicatoin of the Baylor
Ballpark Saturday at 12:25 p.m. In a three-for-one promotion, tickets from
Saturday's baseball game will allow admission to both basketball games at
the Ferrell Center Saturday night.
