FANSonly and ESPN Renew Partnership
Oct. 4, 2001
WACO, Texas - The FANSonly Network and ESPN.com have negotiated a restructured renewal to give the Official Athletic Sites, Official Team Stores and Official Weekly Newsletter products unprecedented exposure on the world's largest sports content site. GoBaylorBears.com, as part of the FANSonly Network, will benefit from this extended partnership in many ways.
Thanks to this agreement, the ESPN.com clubhouse page for Baylor (and all FANSonly Network schools) will contain the following:
"This is just the latest in a long line of features available at GoBaylorBears.com," assistant athletic media relations director and internet coordinator Jeff Brown said. "The primary goal of the website is to tell the story of Baylor athletics, but we also are always on the lookout for better feature content to offer to Baylor fans worldwide."
GoBaylorBears.com is the official internet presence of the Baylor Athletic Department. Game stories, press releases, statistics, live audio and more provide the public with comprehensive Baylor information. Details concerning tickets, facilities and the Bear Foundation, along with an online store are also available on the site.
The FANSonly network features over 100 official athletic sites, including Big 12 Conference rivals Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Colorado, Iowa State and Missouri . The company also hosts sites for the Pac-10, Atlantic Coast and Mountain West Conferences. FANSonly has consistently ranked among the top-10 sports sites on the Internet, according to Media Metrix, the premier Internet measurement service. The network has partnerships with ESPN.com and CBS Sportsline to improve member schools' visibility on the national level.
