Bears fans will once again be able to follow every exciting play of Baylor Athletics this season on the Baylor Sports Media Network thanks to its experienced crew of professionals who broadcast the action worldwide.
Recognized by the National Sports Media Association as the 2019 Texas Co-Sportscaster of the Year and newly named to the 2026 Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame class, The “Voice of the Bears,” John Morris (Baylor, 1980), enters his 32nd season as the signature voice of Baylor Athletics. This is his 40th season overall including his eight years working with the legendary Frank Fallon. He has also been behind the mic for Baylor Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Soccer, Track & Field, Equestrian, Men’s & Women’s Tennis and Acrobatics & Tumbling.
Football alum Geff Gandy will serve as the football in-booth color commentator, alongside Morris, while alum Bryson Jackson will roam the sidelines as the analyst. The triumvirate boasts six decades of Baylor football coverage and experience.
The team is supported by Bob Baker, the football broadcast engineer who is in his 14th season, and Jeff Walter, who provides statistical and spotting input for the sixth season. Derek Smith, the Voice of Baylor Baseball and Women’s Basketball, and the esteemed public address announcer at McLane Stadium, will be in his 17
th season of the Baylor Gameday Tailgate Show, presented by Baylor Alumni, and the Post-Game 5
th Quarter Show.
