MBB Foreign Tour 2023 - France
Follow along for updates on Baylor men's basketball's foreign tour to France!
After some brief delays stateside, the Bears traveled through the night on Saturday, beginning a 10-day journey through France.

BU hit the ground running on day one with its first stop, a visit to the Arc De Triomphe.

From there, the players and staff got their first view of the iconic Eiffel Tower from the Trocadéro, posing for just a picture or two.

After a bus tour of some of the other historical landmarks littered throughout the city, The team visited the historic Notre Dame Cathedral. Damaged by a fire in 2019, the team got a first-hand look at the construction that is set to be completed ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games.

Day one in Paris wrapped with a bus tour back to the hotel highlighting the city's French architecture.

Players got a chance to see world-famous art like the Mona Lisa and the opulence of Napoleon III's furnished apartment, in addition to some of the most recognizable artifacts in art and history.

After a brief break for lunch, it was back to the Eiffel Tower for an up-close view of one of the most visible landmarks in the world. The Bears made their way to the second floor of the tower, which stands at around 377 feet above the city.

After our cruise, the team returned to the hotel to get off their feet in preparation for the first game of our trip against the Paris All-Stars.

The scrimmage consisted of two full 20-minute halves followed by a third period, which featured a 20-minute running clock. In the first 40 minutes the Bears pulled away for a 31-point win, spurred on by 28 points from Ja'Kobe Walter and 18 from Yves Missi.

After a sound win on Tuesday night, the Bears made an early trip to Prince's Park, home of Paris St. Germain F.C. While our guys are some of the best in the country at putting the ball through the net with their hands, some players showed than can excel at finding the net with their feet as well.

The players then got the rest of the afternoon to themselves to do some more exploring on our final day in the Capital of France.

After four eventful days in Paris, the Bears boarded a bus to Lyon, France for the next stop on the tour.
On the drive, the team was able to stop in Dijon, France, to sample some meats, cheeses and mustards from the region. The team pulled into Lyon on Thursday afternoon, and will spend two days exploring the city before moving on to Nice.The sights were seen.

On the team's only full day in Lyon, they were able to take a tour of the city via bike. They were able to ride along the Rhône and the Saône rivers, while also getting a look at local restaurants, architecture and sculptures.

The Bears got a good look at the French countryside as they spent a majority of the day traveling south to Nice, for the final stop of the journey. With such a long day on the bus it was a good opportunity to have some fun with the team.

While the players had some free time and got a chance to catch up on some sleep before for the final game in France, several members of the staff and their families were able to make their way over to Monaco to take in the beautiful city and incredible scenery.
Early in the evening the team loaded up the bus to take on the South France Select team for its French finale.

After a strong start to the scrimmage the Bears held a 65-29 after two 12-minute quarters. As the teams prepared to return to the court for the second half though, a fan in the stands suffered a medical emergency, which put an end to the game.

Thanks to the quick action of several in attendance including BU trainer, Dave Snyder, the person was cared for until paramedics arrived, and is expected to be ok.

On the final day of the trip the Bears had their choice of fun activities in Nice, and chose to take to the Mediterranean Sea via jetski.
