Justin Grassi completed his fourth season as director of operations with the Bears in 2021-22. He handles all business operations and team operational efficiencies.
Grassi serves as the lynch pin between the baseball office and ticketing, marketing and facilities offices within Baylor Athletics. Specific duties include coordination of practice and game video needs for coaches, team and recruiting travel, equipment management, assistance with on-campus recruiting visits, compliance and student-athlete services.
Prior to commencing his studies at Baylor, Justin served in the US Navy Reserves for 8 years. While serving he deployed with Coastal Riverine Squadron TEN 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and again in 2013 with Coastal Riverine ONE in support of Operation Vigilant Mariner. He was honorably discharged in 2016 as a Master-at-Arms First Class with Expeditionary Warfare Specialist designation. Personal Awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3), Navy Reserve Meritorious Service Medal (2), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” Device.
Grassi holds a master’s in sport pedagogy from Baylor (2018), a bachelor’s degree in education with a concentration in kinesiology from Baylor (2017) and a bachelor’s in criminal justice from Florida Gulf Coast (2014).
Grassi and his wife Jennifer reside in Waco, Texas.
