Grace Boston enters her third season as an Assistant Jumping Seat coach for the Bears after joining BU in July 2024.

In the 2025-26 season, Boston and her Jumping Seat squad posted a 5-7 record in Fences and a 7-5 record in Flat. The Bears earned four dominating wins in the Fences event, including a 4-0 win over UT Martin. On the Flat side, BU went undefeated in the Spring and recorded a 3-2 event win over No. 3 South Carolina. Under Boston’s leadership, she coached Lauren Reid to a remarkable senior season, earning an 8-4 record in Fences and a 9-3 record in Flat. Reid’s incredible record plus her four Most Outstanding Performer honors named her the Big 12 Flat Rider of the Year while also being tabbed to the All-Big 12 Fences and Flat team. Freshman Morgan McCarthy (Flat) and senior Lauren Jorgensen (Fences) joined Reid on the All-Big 12 team. Jorgensen also earned monthly Flat and Fences awards for both the NCEA and Big 12. Jorgensen (Fences Second Team) and Reid (Flat First Team) were also named All-Americans. Boston’s squad also earned a combined 16 MOPs in both events.

In the 2024-25 campaign, Boston and her Jumping Seat athletes had a 7-4 record in Fences, dominating Minnesota-Crookston 4-1 and going on a six-meet win streak to finish the season. BU notably had a 3-2 Fences win over No. 2 TCU to help Baylor defeat the Horned Frogs on Senior Day. Under her leadership, the team also had a great season in Flat, going 6-4-1. Lauren Reid ultimately earned a spot on the All-Big 12 Flat Team, Madi Mitchell earned monthly Flat awards for both the NCEA and Big 12, and her Jumping Seat Bears earning a combined nine MOPs in both events. In addition, Boston designed the Fences courses throughout the home season.

A four-year starter for Texas A&M, Boston is poised to begin a coaching journey following a decorated career for the Aggies. A native of Lutherville, Md., Boston was named All-Southeastern Conference in Fences from 2018-20 and was named Texas A&M's Most Outstanding Performer in 2019 and 2020. She was also honored in 2022 as an SEC Rider of the Month.

"Grace's twin sister was a student-athlete for us and we are thrilled to have the Boston family back as part of our program. Grace brings great passion for coaching and recruiting, and we look forward to helping her develop as she starts her coaching career."

Boston comes to the Bears after serving as a barn manager and show groom in Ocala, Fla., at the World Equestrian Center. She previously worked as the barn manager and assistant trainer at Fox Farms in Wimberly, Texas. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in sports management from Texas A&M in 2022 and was named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll in 2018.
