Aaron Hunt

Aaron Hunt is in his fifth year on the Baylor football staff and his first year as the General Manager of the program. 
 
Hunt joined the BU staff in January of 2021 and after starting as a recruiting and personnel assistant, was promoted to Associate AD for Player Personnel in 2024. 
 
He has helped the Bears navigate a changing landscape of college football, including a transition towards roster construction in 2024 that leaned into the Name, Image and Likeness space. 
 
Prior to moving to Waco, Hunt served as director of 306 Elite Performance and Development in his hometown of Denison, Texas, a non-profit organization he helped found in 2014. The organization operated camps and after school programs that organized football, basketball and track leagues for youths seventh grade and below.
 
An All-American and All-Big 12 defensive lineman at Texas Tech, Hunt set the Red Raiders career sack record with 34. He earned his degree in communications in 2002. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2003, and went on to play 10 years of professional football including six CFL All-Star appearances.
 
Hunt is married to the former Angela James. The couple has three children, including Aaron, Addison and Ashton.
