Eric Amoako joined Baylor Athletics in May of 2023, joining Dave Aranda's football staff as a quality control coach.
In his role, Amoako works with the defense, specifically the defensive backs and cornerbacks.
Prior to coming to Waco, he was a graduate assistant coach working with the defensive backs at the University of Washington. From 2020-21, he was in the same role at Wyoming. For the 2019-20 year, he was a football coach at the junior college De Anza College. Amoako spent a year as a special education teacher at Willow Glen High School that same year.
Amoako began his career as a high school football coach for the varsity team's defensive backs at Arlington Seguin High School, also teaching world geography, from 2017-2019.
The Arlington, Texas, native graduated with his degree in history from the former Houston Baptist University (now HCU) in 2014. He earned his masters in education in 2017 from Minnesota and his masters in health administration from Wyoming in 2021.
