Vince Guinta

Vincent Guinta joined the Baylor Football staff in January 2020. He serves as associate athletics director for player personnel. In that role, he oversees all aspects of the Baylor Football recruiting process, which includes prospect identification, evaluations, marketing and social media, and campus visitations. Guinta’s 20 years of major college football involvement, including in the Pac-12, Big Ten, Big 12 and Mountain West conferences, provides national experience to the Bears’ recruiting efforts.
 
Guinta made the move to Waco following five years at Oregon State where he served most recently as assistant athletic director for player personnel under head coach Jonathan Smith.
 
Prior to Oregon State he spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons as director of football recruiting at Wisconsin. While at Wisconsin, Guinta directed all facets of the recruiting process.
 
Following four years in private business, Guinta joined the staff at Fresno State, where he served as the coordinator of football operations in 2012. With the Bulldogs, Guinta was responsible for coordinating team schedules, travel and logistics while also monitoring the program's operating budget, coordinating the walk-on program and supervising recruiting activities.
 
From 2004-08, Guinta was on the staff at the Nebraska. He began as the Huskers' football operations intern and was promoted to director of football personnel and recruiting after the 2005 season, additionally he served as assistant director of football operations.  In 2005, the Tom Lemming Report rated Nebraska as the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in the nation, and during his tenure, Nebraska finished in the top 25 for recruiting four times. Guinta served under head coaches Bill Callahan, Tom Osborne (interim), and Bo Pelini.
 
Before his time at Nebraska, Guinta served in a number of roles at the Utah from 1997-2003.   During his tenure, Guinta worked under head coaches Ron McBride and Urban Meyer.
 
He is native of Salt Lake City, Utah and holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Utah. Guinta and his wife Emily have a son, Max.
