- Title:
- Director of Player Development
Presleigh Pilon returned to the Baylor softball program as Director of Player Development in 2026 following one of the most decorated defensive careers in program history and a stint playing professionally with the KC Diamonds of the Professional Softball League.
A three-year letterwinner from 2023-25, Pilon established herself as one of the premier defensive infielders in the nation during her playing career. The Murrieta, California, native started all 171 games she appeared in at shortstop, providing a steady presence in the middle of the Baylor infield while helping the Bears reach multiple NCAA Tournaments.
Pilon capped her collegiate career by earning 2025 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors, one of many defensive accolades compiled by the Murietta, Calif., native. She owns the program's single-season assists record with 152, set during her senior campaign in 2025, and ranks fifth in school history with 403 career assists. She also helped Baylor establish a then-program record with 31 double plays during the 2024 season, a mark later matched by the Bears' 2026 squad. Additionally, Pilon is tied for the Baylor single-game record with four runs scored.
Offensively, Pilon was a fixture at the top of Baylor's lineup throughout her career. She appeared in 171 games, collecting 125 hits while batting .255 with 17 doubles, 61 RBIs and 30 stolen bases across 490 career at-bats.
Following her collegiate career, Pilon continued playing professionally with the KC Diamonds of the Professional Softball League before returning to Baylor.
