Following a career-ending injury, Jazzi Plews will continue her education at Baylor and serve as a student assistant coach for the Lady Bears beginning in the 2017-18 season.
2016-17 (Freshman): Competed in three matches for the Lady Bears at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles... Went 0-1 in singles action after two matches went unfinished... Recorded a perfect 3-0 record in doubles with senior Rhiann Newborn, securing wins against UTRGV, McNeese State and Incarnate Word... Named an ITA Scholar-Athlete for maintaining a 3.5 cumulative GPA or better.
Prep/Juniors: Ranked No. 91 by the International Tennis Federation (ITF)... As a representative of Great Britain, she played singles and doubles in every match at World Team Championship Finals... Secured a Great Britain European Championship and a runner-up result in World Championship play... Played her way to five singles championships (G5 Morocco, G4 Netherlands, G4 Netherlands, G3 Brazil, G3 Brazil) and one runner-up finish (G4 Morocco) as well as two doubles championships (G3 Brazil, G3 Brazil) and three semifinal results (G4 Spain, G4 Morocco, G4 Netherlands) in ITF action... Three-time finalist at the British National Championships (U10, U12 and U14) and a two-time semifinalist (U14, U16)... Two-time national champion (U12, U14)... Won two Tennis Europe titles in Latvia (both U14) and was a finalist at Tennis Europe in Croatia (U14)... Is a Level 1 LTA Coach.
