Blake Wright is in his first year as an Applied Performance Specialist and is currently a PhD Student in the health, human performance, and recreation department. In this role, Wright works as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Baylor Spirit Squads, helps lead athlete data collection and analysis and helps bridge athletics and academia through applied performance research.
Wright joins the Applied Performance department after serving as a Yale University strength & conditioning Intern in 2023 and Texas Southern University Graduate Assistant in strength & conditioning/applied performance from 2023-25.
Wright earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Youngstown State University and his Master of Science in Health & Kinesiology with a concentration in human performance.
Wright is originally from Canton, Ohio.
