Chase Holbrook is in his first year as the Director of Football Strategy for Baylor. He was announced in his role on March 10, 2026.
Holbrook joins Baylor’s staff after serving as the quarterbacks coach at Colorado State in 2025, which followed the 2022-24 seasons as an Offensive Analyst. He also spent five seasons at New Mexico State, where he played QB, including time as the tight ends coach in 2017 and four seasons as the QB coach from 2018-21.
Holbrook came from the Mike Leach tree, serving as a quality control coach in 2016 at Washington State, which followed a season at Tarleton State as the passing game coordinator and QB coach in 2015.
The Air Raid tree ran deep, including time as the running backs coach for McMurry from 2009-10 and as the QB coach from 2011-12, serving as the offensive coordinator in 2013. He spent the 2014 season at New Mexico Highlands as the offensive coordinator and QB coach, helping spur the team to 487.5 yards per game, including 388.5 passing.
A decorated QB at New Mexico State, Holbrook shattered career school records for total offense (11,577), TDs (93), TD passes (85) and passing yards (11,846). He broke single-season record for total offense (4,541), TDs (38), and TD passes (34). His career passing efficiency of 145.5 ranks second in NMST history and he set the program standard for consecutive games with a TD pass, hurling touchdowns in 17 straight games from the 2006-07.
Holbrook is married to Robin and the couple has children Harlee and Hayes.
