Courteney Tompkins joined the Baylor University Athletics Performance staff in the Spring 2023. She currently serves as an Assistant Director of Athletics Performance working with Baylor’s Acrobatics and Tumbling and Men’s and Women’s Cross Country programs. She assists with the Track and Field program.
Tompkins comes to Baylor from University of Alabama at Birmingham where she served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Softball and Women’s Soccer. Prior to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Tompkins worked as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of West Florida from 2020 to 2022. At the University of West Florida, she oversaw all aspects of strength and conditioning for Volleyball, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, and Men’s and Women’s Tennis along with assisting with Football.
The Santa Maria, Calif., native graduated from the University of the Cumberlands in 2018 where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology. She earned a Master of Science degree in Physical Education and Human Performance from the University of West Florida. Tompkins holds her certification through the CSCCa (SCCC).
