Lindsey returns to Waco as assistant coach and general manager in 2026 after spending the past four seasons at Grand Canyon University as an assistant coach underneath Scott Drew’s younger brother, Bryce, from 2022-2026. During his time with the Antelopes, GCU made the NCAA Tournament three times, highlighted by an upset victory over No. 5-seed Saint Mary's in 2024. Lindsey joined GCU as director of player personnel before being elevated to assistant coach in the summer of 2023.
Lindsey came to GCU after working for the Utah Jazz organization for three seasons. He was most recently the Jazz’s coordinator of college scouting after a two-year stint as a basketball operations intern and basketball operations assistant. With the Jazz, Lindsey was involved in coordinating scouting logistics, developing scouting reports and traveling to evaluate potential draft prospects. Additionally, Lindsey helped assist with on-court draft workouts, pre-draft interviews and draft day processes. In May 2022, Lindsey also earned a master's degree in sports management from the University of Kansas.
Lindsey played collegiately at Baylor from 2015 to 2019 underneath head coach Scott Drew. During his time with the Bears, he was a member of three NCAA Tournament teams and was part of the program's historic 2016-17 squad, the first Baylor team ever to achieve a No. 1 ranking in the AP Top-25 Poll. As a junior in 2017-18, the 6-foot-5 guard appeared in 34 games and made 12 starts, averaging 4.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while connecting on 40 percent of his three-point attempts. Lindsey ranked in the top five in assist-to-turnover ratio in the Big 12 each season from 2016 through 2018, and in 2017-18 led the conference with a 2.8-to-1 ratio. Lindsey medically retired before his senior season but remained with the program as a graduate assistant, going on to earn his degree cum laude in finance in August 2018.
Lindsey's passion for building relationships and developing players on and off the court runs in the family, as his father, Dennis, played at Baylor from 1987 to 1991 and went on to a distinguished NBA front-office career that included stints as General Manager of the Utah Jazz and Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, as well as an advisory role with the Dallas Mavericks and a current position as Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations for the Detroit Pistons. Notably, Dennis was on the Houston Rockets' staff when the organization selected Bryce Drew with the 16th pick in the 1998 NBA Draft.
Lindsey and his wife, Tiger, have three children.
