Joshua Young serves the Associate AD for Academic Services in BU's Student-Athlete Center for Excellence (SACE). He originally joined Baylor Athletics in June 2022 as the Assistant AD for Academic Services.
He works primarily with the men's basketball and women's volleyball programs for the Bears.
Young came to Waco after serving in the same role at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He began that role at UAB in 2019, where previously he was the Assistant Director beginning in 2017. Prior to that, he was an Academic Counselor for the Blazers starting in 2013.
Prior to being in Birmingham, Young worked with NCAA Academic and Membership Affairs from 2012 to 2013.
The Chicago, Ill., native graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010 with his bachelor's degree in journalism. He then went on to earn his master's of education in post secondary administration and student affairs from the University of Southern California in 2012.
