Morgan Van Houten serves as Performance Nutrition Dietitian for Baylor Athletics, where she provides nutrition support and education for the soccer, men's and women's track & field/cross country, and men's and women's golf programs. In her role, she works closely with student-athletes to optimize performance, recovery, health and overall well-being through evidence-based nutrition strategies.
Van Houten joined Baylor Athletics in May 2026 after serving as an Olympic Sports Nutrition Assistant at the University of Notre Dame during the 2025–26 academic year. At Notre Dame, she served as the team dietitian for men's tennis, softball, and men's and women's swimming & diving, providing individualized nutrition counseling, team education and performance nutrition support.
As a former collegiate student-athlete, Van Houten competed in women's soccer at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls while pursuing her undergraduate degree. Her experience as both an athlete and sports nutrition professional has shaped her passion for helping student-athletes maximize their performance through nutrition.
Throughout her career, Van Houten has focused on sports nutrition, performance fueling, recovery strategies and athlete wellness, working collaboratively with coaches, athletic trainers and performance staff to support student-athlete success.
Van Houten earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2023. She later earned a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2025.
Van Houten is a native of Pine Island, Minnesota.
