Pat Bray serves as the Assistant Director of Ministry Integration within Baylor Athletics' Student-Athlete Services team in sports ministry. In his role, he serves as the Football Chaplain and Athletics Chaplain, providing spiritual guidance, discipleship and ministry support for Baylor student-athletes and staff.
Bray joined Baylor Athletics in April 2026 after serving in a variety of ministry and chaplaincy roles. Prior to joining the Bears, he served as Director of Youth Ministry from 2024–25 and as Chaplain for Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business from 2022–24. He also served as a Sports Ministry Fellow at Baylor and as the Women's Basketball Team Chaplain at Trinity Christian College during the 2021–22 academic year.
Throughout his ministry career, Bray has focused on integrating faith, leadership development and spiritual formation within athletic and educational settings. His work has included mentoring student-athletes, leading Bible studies, providing pastoral care and creating opportunities for spiritual growth both on and off the field.
Bray earned bachelor's degrees in Christian Ministry and Recreation & Sport Management from Trinity Christian College in 2022. He later earned a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Sports Ministry and Chaplaincy through Baylor University's George W. Truett Theological Seminary and Faith & Sports Institute in 2025. He is also a Certified Spiritual Director.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Bray is passionate about helping student-athletes grow in their faith while pursuing excellence in competition, academics and life.
