Victoria Garcia

Victoria Garcia serves Baylor Athletics as Assistant Director of Athletic Medicine, working with Men's and Women's Tennis.

Garcia came to Baylor in August 2024 after working at University of Texas at El Paso since August 2019. There, she oversaw the daily operations and health and well-being of the Softball and Rifle teams, before she helped cover Volleyball for the 2020 season after COVID. She then oversaw the healthcare of the women's basketball team starting in the summer of 2023, and transitioned to Associate Director of Sports Medicine in January of 2024. She was in charge of creating and updating EAP's, and also saw revisions to the operations manual. Garcia helped create a mental health committee and institute mental health education, awareness and initiatives along with her staff at UTEP.

Prior to her years at UTEP, Garcia was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at New Mexico State University from 2017-2019. There, she provided coverage and healthcare for softball primarily, but also worked with Women's Swim & Dive for a year and Cheerleading for another.

The San Antonio, Texas, native graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017 with her bachelor's in Athletic Training. She went on to earn her Master's in Education in 2019 from New Mexico State.
