* Baylor is now 1-1 all-time against Arkansas-Little Rock. The teams' only other meeting was in the first round of the NIT in 1987 with the Trojans winning 42-41.
* The Bears are now 60-33 against teams currently in the Sun Belt Conference. The victory snaps a two-game skid against current Sun Belt schools, the Bears dropped decisions to Louisiana Tech and Arkansas State, both in the 1998-99 season.
* Baylor improves to 13-3 against non-conference opponents in head coach Dave Bliss' two seasons in Waco.
* Baylor has now opened consecutive seasons at 3-0 for the first time since the 1984-85 and 1985-86 campaigns. Both of those teams won their first four games. Last year, the Bears also opened at 4-0.
* Sophomore guard Wendell Greenleaf established a career-high with 19 points on the afternoon. His previous career high was 14 points March 9, 2000 against Nebraska in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament.
