Oral Roberts comes into Saturday's game with a record of 6-4. Prior to losing to #7 Duke on Dec. 19, the Lady Golden Eagles had reeled off five straight wins.
BEST START SINCE...
At 10-0, the Lady Bears have vaulted off to the best start in Lady Bear history. Twice, 1974-75 and 1980-81, Baylor posted 9-0 records to start the season. The Lady Bears have already surpassed their season win total of last season (7-20).
GAINING RESPECT...
For the fifth consecutive week the Lady Bears received votes in the AP Poll. Baylor has never been ranked in the top 25 but had received votes during the 1997-98 season and at the beginning of the 1998-99 campaign. They have twice received votes in the USA Today/Coaches Poll.
AND THEN THERE WAS ONE...
Baylor University is the only school in the nation that has yet to suffer a defeat - by either its men's or women's basketball team. In addition to the 10-0 record the Lady Bears own, the Baylor men are a perfect 7-0 this season.
ANOTHER RECORD WITHIN REACH...
The record for most consecutive victories in a season for the Lady Bear program is 11 which was achieved during the 1977-78 season. The Lady Bears are currently on a 10-game winning streak.
AND AGAIN THEN THERE WAS ONE...
At 10-0, first-year Baylor head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson is the only undefeated first-year head coach in NCAA Division I. Only 16 Division I teams are currently undefeated and none of those coaches are first-year head coaches.
ON THE NATIONAL SCENE...
The Lady Bears rank among NCAA Division I leaders both in individual and team categories through Dec. 20.

NATIONAL STAR OF THE WEEK...
Junior Danielle Crockrom was named National Star of the Week by WomensCollegeHoops.com for her performances the week of Dec. 18-25. In those two games she averaged 22 points, 19.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game as the Lady Bears posted wins over USC and UMKC.
ON THE SEASON...
Baylor's leader, 10 games into the season, is Sheila Lambert. The Seattle native is averaging 22.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 5.3 assists a game.
Danielle Crockrom, the fourth week of the season, reached the double-digit mark in season scoring and rebounding. Crockrom, a 6-2 forward, checks in at 21.7 points and a team-leading 13.3 rebounds while Monica Arnold (Austin/Johnston HS), a 6-2 post, tallies 9.8 points and 7.1 boards.
NEVER BEFORE...
Never before in the history of Lady Bear basketball have two players scored 30 or more points in the same game. It's happened twice this season, against Denver University and Loyola Marymount. Against Denver Danielle Crockrom and Sheila Lambert combined for 67 points. Crockrom poured in a career-high 34 points. She was 13-of-17 from the floor (.764) and 8-of-10 (.800) from the free throw line. Lambert also tallied a career high with33 points. She popped in eight field goals and was 16-of-18 (.889) from the charity stripe.
The feat was duplicated against Loyola Marymount when Crockrom scored 32 and Lambert tossed in 30.
CROCKROM BREAKS 20 YEAR OLD RECORD...
With her 23 rebounds against USC, Danielle Crockrom broke Debbie Polk's 20 year old single game rebounding record. Polk set the mark of 22 rebounds on Nov. 11, 1980 against Huston-Tillotson.
CROCKROM CRANKING IT UP...
Over Baylor's last eight games Danielle Crockrom has averaged 24.0 points and 15.1 rebounds a game. All eight games have been double-doubles. In addition to those impressive marks, of her 121 rebounds, 57 were offensive boards.
LAMBERT DOUBLES...
In Baylor's 10 games this season Sheila Lambert has scored in double figures in every game. Her lowest point output in a game is 15 (UMKC), she's scored 19 points three times, she's had four 20-point performances and two 30-point games.
ONE TWO PUNCH...
The tandem of Sheila Lambert and Danielle Crockrom rank No. 1 and No. 2 in the Big 12 Conference in scoring. Lambert checks in at 22.8 points a game while Crockrom manages 21.7.

Team: #1 in scoring margin (+29.3), #1 in field goal defense (.341), #1 in rebounding (52.6), #1 in rebounding margin (+18.2), #1 in steals (15.7), #2 in turnover margin (+8.1), #2 in scoring defense (56.0), #3 in free throw pct. (.722) and #3 in scoring (85.3).
Sheila Lambert: #1 in scoring (22.8), #3 in steals (3.8), #4 in assists (5.3), and #8 free throw percentage (.814), #17 in rebounding (6.3).
Danielle Crockrom: #1 in offensive rebounds (5.29), #1 in rebounding (13.3), #2 in scor- ing (21.7), #4 in field goal percentage (.597), and #4 in defensive rebounds (5.57).
Monica Arnold: #4 in blocked shots (1.50), #13 in rebounding (7.1).
Jessika Stratton: #15 in free throw pct.
A LOOK AHEAD...
Finally, it's back to the friendly confines of the Ferrell Center. After playing five games on the road and only one at home, the Lady Bears are back to the friendly confines of the Ferrell for six straight games. They don't go back on the road until they play at Kansas on Jan. 6.
THE OPPOSITION...
Oral Roberts Lady Golden Eagles The Oral Roberts Lady Golden Eagles (ORU) come into Saturday's game with a record of 6-4 and a four-game losing streak. Prior to losing to #7 Duke on Dec. 19, the Lady Golden Eagles had reeled off five straight wins. Two of ORU's four losses have come at the hands of Big 12 schools. Oklahoma State defeated ORU in overtime 71-63 and Oklahoma handed them an 87-56 loss. In addition to losing to Duke (62-51), they lost at Wichita State (75-69). They have posted victories over Panhandle State (67-45), Arkansas Tech (71-62), Youngstown State (74-71), Southern Utah (57-54), Texas A&M Corpus Christi (74-61) and Florida Atlantic (81-63).
The Lady Golden Eagles are led by 5-7 junior guard Krista Ragan's 19.2 points and 4.4 assists. Shayne McKenzie and Jennette Bolovinos are the team's top rebounders. McKenzie, a 6-2 sophomore forward leads the team with 6.2 a game while Bolovinos, a 6-3 junior forward (transfer from UT-Pan American), pulls down 5.7 a game.
UMKC is is coached by Jerry Finkbeiner who is in his fourth year as ORU's head coach. He is 43-51 in his four years there and 229-70 in 10 seasons as a head coach.
SERIES RECORD...
The series is tied at 2-2. ORU won the first two games between the two schools while Baylor has won the last two.
