Ernstrom Earns Second Academic All-American Honor Of Season

For the second time this season Baylor distance runner Karin Ernstrom has earned first-team Academic All-American honors. She was recently named to the 1999-2000 GTE Academic All-America spring at-large first team and also earned first-team kudos for the Fall-Winter selection period which included cross country.
Ernstrom, a three sport All-American and a member of Phi Beta Kappa, is the Bears' top distance runner. She placed eighth in the 5000 meters at the NCAA Indoor Championships and was 22nd in the cross country nationals.
Ernstrom, a senior from Upplands Vasby, Sweden, maintains a 4.0 grade point average in mathematics.
