WACO, Texas - After more than a week of trials, Baylor baseball reliever Zane Carlson was named to the 22-man roster for the 2000 USA Baseball National Team on June 22.
The team was selected from a pool of 35 players and will be coached by Southern California's Mike Gillespie. Team USA will play approximately 30 games on the US WEST Red, White and Blue Summer Tour. The team has already played four games against the Mexican national team and has a 4-0 record. They are currently in Hawaii for the 29th annual USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star series.
