Waco, Texas - In what must have seemed like a marathon to him, sophomore Reiner Neurohr won the singles match championship of the Midland Open in a three-set tiebreaker, then turned right around and played with teammate Cory Ross for the doubles championship.

In singles, Neurohr outlasted Texas Tech's Royce Ramey by pulling out a 6-2, 6-7, 7-6 victory in which he won the third set tiebreaker, 12-10, to claim the crown. Neurohr was denied his second championship trophy of the day when, immediately following the singles match, he and partner Cory Ross had to play for the doubles title. The Baylor duo fell to Texas A&M's Ryan Newport and Jarin Skube, 8-6.

Ross, after losing in the first round of the main draw, came back and won the back-draw, defeating SMU's Eric Cohn, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, in the final.
