THE TEAMS...
After a two week absence, the Lady Bears moved back into the top 25, checking in at #24. It is the fourth time the Baylor squad has been ranked this season, their highest being #20. The Lady Bears, 18-6 overall and 7-6 in Big 12 play, come into Wednesday's game with three straight wins under their belt, defeating Texas A&M, 80-55, in the Ferrell Center and beating Texas, 80-75, in Austin and a home game against Missouri, 97-81. The Lady Bears are 11-2 overall and 5-2 in conference play in the Ferrell Center, their only losses coming at the hands of Oklahoma (87-90) and Texas Tech (56-67). Baylor is 7-4 on the road, 2-4 on the road in Big 12 games.
Baylor is led by three players scoring in double figures. Sheila Lambert, a junior guard, leads the team with 23.0 a game, while right behind her is junior forward Danielle Crockrom's 21.8. NATIONAL ATTENDANCE STATISTICS...
Once again the Lady Bear program is among the top programs in the nation for home attendance. With an average of 3,850 a game so far this season the Lady Bears rank #20 in the nation. Figures show that at this point in the season, the Lady Bears are averaging 2,107 more fans a game than they were at this time last season. Also, last season's biggest home crowd was 2,485 (Texas Tech), while they've already had 10 crowds above that figure this season.

The only two larger crowds were the 10,057 for the championship of the 1998 WNIT against Penn State and the semi-final game of the 1998 WNIT, when 7,116 witnessed Baylor beat LSU.
