Lady Bears Crockrom and Lambert Honored by Sportswriters

Baylor juniors Sheila Lambert and Danielle Crockrom became the first Baylor Lady Bears to be named to the Associated Press' All-America team. The duo was named honorable mention by a national media panel.
Crockrom and Lambert have combined to score 43.6 points a game for Baylor en route to leading the team to a 21-8 record and the program's first NCAA Tournament berth.
Lambert, a 5-7 guard from Seattle, Wash. (Chief Sealth HS), leads the Big 12 in scoring and is among the nation's leaders in scoring and assists ranking six th in scoring (22.3 ppg) and 17th in assists (6.1 apg). Crockrom, a 6-2 forward from Houston (North Shore HS), leads the Big 12 in rebounding at 11.6 a game which ranks her sixth in the nation. In addition her 21.3 points a game are 12th best nationally and third in the Big 12.
Lambert and Crockrom are the program's first AP All-Americans. Suzie Snider Eppers was a Kodak All-American in 1977 and Debbie Polk was an all-region selection in 1982.
