For the third time this season, Baylor's Danielle Crockrom was named Big 12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week by a media panel for the final regular season games played Feb. 28. Texas Tech's Jia Perkins was honored as Rookie of the Week.
Crockrom scored 29 points, including 17 in the second half, as Baylor defeated Kansas State, 74-57, in the team's final game of the regular season. The 6-2 junior forward from Houston, Texas, led all scorers and was 13-of-20 (.650) from the floor. She also collected a career-high six steals, blocked two shots and pulled down eight rebounds to lead the Lady Bears to a 20-7 mark and a 9-7 Big 12 record. It is just Baylor's second 20-win season in 20 years.
