This report was filed by Tatiana Kenon, a senior from San Antonio, Texas. For other diaries from various players as the trip progresses, click here.

Today started off well. We began our first practice by talking about what was going on in our minds so far, and how we feel about our Japan experience. I said I was frustrated because to me, the food is bad, and I have been living off rice and Chex mix, which is not providing much energy. After our talk, we warmed up and then scrimmaged for the rest of practice. We played well, and won more than we lost.

We had some down time and then started another practice at 3. This practice was not too bad. We did all of our usual drills, and time went by quickly. The freshmen and newcomers have caught on quickly, so practice is running smoothly.

I am very homesick. I have not called my family that much, because when I talk to them I get sad. Ma, Daddy, Mookie, Chunky and Adam Mason, I love you and miss you all very much!
