AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Brandon Mouton scored 22 points and Texas hit 10 first-half 3-pointers to put away Baylor early in a 102-78 victory Saturday.
Fredie Williams added 17 for Texas (11-4, 2-0 Big 12 Conference), which has won 10 of its last 11 games. The Longhorns are 8-0 against the Bears under coach Rick Barnes.
Baylor (11-5, 1-2) got 30 points from freshman Lawrence Roberts, but the Bears lost for the fourth time in the last six games after a 9-1 start.
Texas set a record for the most first-half points (65) in a Big 12 game and topped the 100-point mark for the first time since the 1997-98 season. The Longhorns also outrebounded the Bears 51-36.
Mouton scored Texas' first 10 points, with a 3-pointer to open the game. The Longhorns led 38-17 when Williams nailed his second 3-pointer with 9:28 to play in the first half.
The Longhorns' 10-of-14 shooting from behind the arc and 28-16 rebounding advantage built a 65-36 halftime lead.
Williams, who plays with a brace on his left knee because of a partially torn ACL, came in averaging just 3.3 points in a little over 13 minutes per game. He had 13 points by halftime on 5-of-7 shooting, including 3-of-3 from 3-point range.
Texas cooled off in the second half, and Baylor cut the lead under 20 when Matt Sayman's 3-pointer made it 86-67.
But the rally was short-lived as Williams hit two free throws, and Baylor never got closer than 18 the rest of the way.
Sydmill Harris and Deginald Erskin each scored 13 for Texas. Point guard T.J. Ford had 10 assists.
