WACO, Texas - On Thursday, October 24, Baylor women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson will make a special visit to talk about the 2002-03 season.
Mulkey-Robertson is prepping for her third year as head women's basketball coach after guiding the Lady Bears to a 27-6 record and their second-straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Picked as one of 16 regional sites, Baylor advanced to the second round before being upset by Drake.
In her first season as head coach, Mulkey-Robertson led the Lady Bears to a 21-9 record and the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament. Baylor enjoyed tremendous improvement over their previous season, when the team went just 7-20 in 1999-2000.
Mulkey-Robertson was a two-time Academic All-American as a point guard at Louisiana Tech and led the Lady Techsters to two national championships. She also was an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Award winner in 1984.
After 15 years as an assistant at her alma mater, Mulkey-Robertson took the Baylor job two years ago and has led the Lady Bears to a record of 48-15 and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.
While Coach Mulkey-Robertson won't be stopping by until 9:30 a.m. CT on Thursday, feel free to submit your questions here and we'll save them for her arrival.
