Three Men's Netters Move on to Qualifying Round

WACO, Texas - Three Baylor men's tennis players and two doubles teams will play in the qualifying round Oct. 8 at the Icy Hot/ITA Tournament held in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Sophomore Benedikt Dorsch defeated Chris Wettengel from the University of Minnesota by a score of 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 to advance to the qualifying round. He will join fellow teammates freshman Ivor Lovrak and newcomer to the tournament No. 80 junior Matias Marin.
The duo of Jason Gould and Barry McLaren were eliminated from the tournament in pre-qualifying round of 32. The two were defeated by Jakub Ilowski and Michael Tarkowski of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The doubles team of Reiner Neurohr and Zoltan Papp along with twosome Benjamin Becker and Benedikt Dorsch will all compete in the qualifying doubles rounds.
Tournament play begins Tuesday morning with 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams.
