Several special events are planned for Saturday's game. Before the game fans can kick back at the Outback Tent and get a Bevo burgers and a t-shirt for $6. COMING UP...
The Lady Bears, currently 20-4, 8-4, have won seven of their last eight Big 12 games which includes recent victories over Texas Tech and Texas A&M. Texas, 16-7 and 7-5, is coming off a non-conference road victory over No. 3 Tennessee, 69-66.

THE LADY BEARS...
Baylor, 20-4, 8-4, after losing to No. 4 Oklahoma and posting at 16-point victory over No. 15 Texas Tech, slipped one spot to No. 11 in the Associated Press poll. The Lady Bears started the season ranked No. 14. Baylor moved up one spot to No. 11 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll.

Twenty-four games into the season the Lady Bears are led by all-American candidates seniors Sheila Lambert (Seattle, Wash./Chief Sealth HS) and Danielle Crockrom (Houston/North Shore HS). Lambert leads the way with 19.9 points per game, while Crockrom follows at 17.3. Crockrom leads the team in rebounding at 9.4 an outing. Freshman post Steffanie Blackmon (Dallas/Rowlett HS) follows with 10.0 points and 5.3 rebounds a game while sophomore Chanelle Fox (Houston/Westfield HS) also hauls down 5.0.

Texas Longhorns
The Texas Longhorns are 16-7 on the season and 7-5 in conference action. They are coming off a huge road victory Tuesday over No. 3 Tennessee, 69-66. The Longhorns are 4-3 on the road this season.

Three Longhorns are averaging in double figures. Freshman forward Heather Schreiber and sophomore center Stacey Stephens share scoring honors with 14.5 apiece. Senior forward Tracy Cook averages 10.5 an outing. Stephens leads the team in rebounding with 9.9 a game while Schreiber follows at 6.1.

THE COACHES...
Baylor's Kim Mulkey-Robertson is in her second year as a head coach after guiding the Lady Bears to a 21-9 record and the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament in her inaugural season. The Lady Bears enjoyed tremendous improvement last season over Baylor's 7-20 record of 1999-2000. Her career record is 41-13 (.774).

Texas is coached by Baylor grad Jody Conradt. She is in her 26th season as the Longhorns' head coach. Conradt is 665-193 (.859) in her 26 seasons at Texas and is 782-255 (.754) in 33 years as a head coach.
