WACO, Texas - Baylor junior Benjamin Becker defeated the No. 10 player in the nation, Catalin Gard of Mississippi 6-2, 6-3 in the second round of play at the ITA National Indoor Championships on Friday, Nov. 7.

In the quarterfinals Becker was defeated in three sets by Bo Hodge of Georgia 5-7, 7-6 (2), 6-2 eliminating him from the tournament.

The bears will not play again until the spring semester, Jan. 16-19 at the Sherwood Classic in Thousand Oaks, California.

The semifinal and finals rounds of the ITA Indoor Championships can be heard live on Nov. 8-9 at www.radiotennis.com.
