LAIE, Hawaii (AP) - Harvey Thomas scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds Monday to lead Baylor to a 69-59 win over Northern Illinois at the round-robin Surf N' Slam-Hawaii Tournament.
Terrance Thomas added 17 points for Baylor (5-6).
Marcus Smallwood led the Huskies (4-6) with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Perry Smith and Todd Peterson each added 11 points.
Baylor was dominant in the paint, outscoring Northern Illinois 20-6.
Both teams were tied at 30 at the half, but Baylor went on a run and led by as much as 13 points. There were four ties and five lead changes in the game.
