WACO, Texas (AP) - Terrance Thomas scored 21 points and R.T. Guinn scored 18 to lead Baylor past Midwestern State 97-72 on Saturday night.

Baylor (3-2) trailed the NCAA Division II team 23-21 midway through the first half, but then went on a 24-7 run to go up 45-30 about three minutes before halftime.

Marquette Wilkins led Midwestern (5-1) with 18 points, while Lechon Trammer added 16.

Baylor opened the second half with an 11-2 run to go up 58-39 and never trailed by fewer than 13 after that.

The Bears scored 50 points in the paint compared to 28 for the Indians.

Baylor shot 55 percent (37-of-67) from the floor, while Midwestern State hit 43 percent (29-of-68).
